West Tweed at Old Melrose was a beautiful holiday lodge. The location was perfect for exploring the Borders and the ones were attentive but not obtrusive. We intend to stay again!
We have used Unique Cottages to book our holidays to Scotland for years. We have always found an excellent choice on their website, accurate photos and descriptions, competitive pricing and very good communication.
The cabin was beautiful and set in a quiet location with far reaching views of the Loch and surrounding mountains . The furniture was very comfortable and everything in the cabin was spotless and new. There was everything I needed to cook and relax in my week. Bedroom was spacious and the bathroom had a huge walk in shower area and all to high standard and spotlessly clean. Outside had a private area to sit and enjoy the view. My dog was relaxed and easy walking on forestry paths right from the doorstep. The owners were in their house nextdoor amd welcomed me and my dog as we arrived. A lovely welcome basket was awaiting me with goodies for me and a ball and some treats for my dog. A lovely thoughtful touch. Asking the owners for advice was easy and nothing was too much trouble . Extremely good value for money and the cabin apart from being lovely and toasty warm had a log burner and endless supply of free firewood to hand. The whole week was such a treat and i wouldn’t hesitate to visit again.
Lovely clean cottage with thoughtful touches such as a welcome pack of tea, coffee, biscuits, milk and a lovely vase of fresh flowers. We enjoyed sitting at the dining table admiring the fabulous view over the beach and waving to the friendly neighbours who passed by.
We spent a fabulous week in Seaview at the end of March. The cottage was very clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything we could have possibly needed. The view from the cottage was amazing and the area has plenty to offer. It was handy having a supermarket just a short walk away to.
